Ingredients
- 1 lemon, cut into wheels
- ¾ ounce simple syrup
- ice cubes
- 1 oz rum
- 2 oz full-bodied red wine, such as a Cabernet Sauvignon
- lemon slice for garnish
How-to
- Add the lemon wheels and simple syrup to a cocktail shaker. Muddle well with a muddler or wooden spoon
- Fill the cocktail shaker halfway full with ice cubes. Add the rum. Shake well
- Add a few ice cubes a sturdy red wine glasse or goblet. Strain the mix over the ice
- Add the red wine. Stir briefly, but seriously. Garnish with the lemon slice and serve
